Joint Administrator - Spain

Definition

The role of the joint administrator of a company, is the management of daily company operations, and the representation of the company in any situation. The joint administrators have to act together in making decisions about the legal business entity. Many times this position is used to limit the power of a sole administrator, since the joint administrator cannot act on its own. In terms of company representation , two joint administrators is enough, always under the rules of the statutes of the company. The number of joint administrators designated in a Spanish mercantile company has to be two, since in the event that they were three, it would be required to establish a Board of Directors.
